The purpose and goals of the child health clinic

The child health clinic monitors children’s development and health from infancy to school age and takes care of the administration of vaccines in accordance with the national vaccination programme.

The child health clinic provides individual support and encouragement to parents in upbringing matters while taking their family situation into account. When necessary, the child health clinic can refer children to more detailed examinations to be carried out by a psychologist, speech therapist or physiotherapist, for example.
